About

What is Karubi Iccho?

Even if it’s from Wakayama,
the taste is different.
Charcoal grill × a tasting of two major branded wagyu. “Which do you like better?”—we’ll bring you a night where that kind of conversation naturally flows, just a 2-minute walk from Wakayama Station.
Our Story

Even if it’s from Wakayama,
the taste is completely different.

Kumano Gyu and Kishu Wakagyu—both are branded beef raised in Wakayama, but their flavors are totally different. Kumano Gyu has fine-textured meat with sweetness and rich umami packed in. Kishu Wakagyu is lean-focused with less marbling, so it’s not heavy and the umami spreads lightly. The “Which do you like better?” talk naturally picks up.

From branded wagyu to Japanese beef, chicken, pork, and hormone, we’ve got a wide selection—so you can invite anyone with confidence. Because it’s grilled over charcoal, each cut’s aroma and umami are brought out properly. From a casual meal to a lively party, tonight’s star is Wakayama beef.

Our Commitment

Karubi Iccho’s three commitments

Aroma, tasting, and comfort.
Three things Karubi Iccho values.
Point 01
Charcoal

Because it’s charcoal, the aroma is different

Because we grill it slowly with charcoal’s far-infrared heat, you get a savory aroma you can’t get from gas. “The yakiniku here just smells different.”—if that’s what you feel, you’re right.

Point 02
Compare

Compare them, and you’ll taste the difference

Compare Kumano Gyu and Kishu Wakagyu in the same night, and you’ll notice just how deep wagyu can be. “Light and clean” or “rich and deep”—which are you? The answer comes after you taste it.

Point 03
Relax

A space where you can relax without worrying

Along with partitioned table seating and open seating, we also have Japanese-style rooms that can be divided with shoji screens (sunken kotatsu style, 30 seats). Every seat is equipped with a smokeless roaster, and we can accommodate everything from small groups to parties of up to 30 people.
